Open-water swims and seafront trails on the Solent, with a crew that always waits at the buoy. Every pace welcome.
Join us on HeyloWhat is swimrun?
Swimrun is a sport of alternating swims and runs — you race in your wetsuit the entire time, running out of the water and straight into the next stretch. No transitions, no support crews. Just you, your partner, and the elements.
Invented in the Swedish archipelago in 2002, it has since spread around the globe, building a community of adventurous, welcoming people eager to explore nature outside their comfort zones.
Söuthsea Swimrun has been welcoming people to the sport on England's south coast since 2019 — bringing a sprinkle of Swedish magic to the Solent.

The people behind SÖS
A small team with a wide range of skills, experience, and passion for the sport. We look forward to swimrunning with you.

Vini started swimrunning in 2019, stepping in to do Breca Gower only three weeks before the race. He's the driving force behind SÖS, wanting to get as many people as possible into this extraordinary sport.

Sarah has been swimrunning since 2018, racing across the UK and internationally — from the Scilly Islands to Switzerland. A go-to voice in the community, she's also featured on the Löw Tide Böyz and The Swimrun Show podcasts.

Adrian discovered swimrun in 2020 and hasn't looked back. He's completed multiple events and says the best thing is the excitement of getting outdoors and going a bit wild in fantastic landscapes.

Chris leads the Wednesday interval sessions at the D-Day Museum. He can also occasionally be seen in the sea at crazy hours — or battling big waves. Come prepared for a summer dip after Wednesday runs.
