About

Söuthsea Swimrun was founded in 2019 by Vinicius Vecchiatti with the aim of introducing other like-minded people to the ever-developing sport of swimrun.

Situated in the glorious beach-side setting of Southsea, Vini, with a little help from his friend and swimrun buddy Sarah, has so far managed to encourage a small, but growing band of folk to don their wetsuits and trainers and take to the sea and promenade for weekday and weekend swimrun sessions.

Born out of a passion for this crazy sport, developed over the last couple of years, the Söuthsea Swimrun(ners) will continue to do their bit to help develop swimrunning in the UK and to race in both the UK and abroad.

Söuthsea Swimrun Sessions

Söuthsea Swimrun meet near the beach huts opposite the Coffee Cup by the picnic tables along the Eastney section of the esplanade on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6PM and Saturday and Sunday mornings (timings vary). Sessions are led by volunteer leaders and undertaken at your own risk. Keep an eye on the Söuthsea Swimrun Facebook page for details and to confirm sessions are on and that you are coming. Everyone is welcome, from complete newbies to seasoned swimrunners.
