Let’s not call them “training sessions”… maybe instead we could call them “fun sessions”. In the end, it should all be about fun. Swimrun has this free, wild spirit and I hate to call these meet-up sessions “training” and give them any connotation of being hard work.
In our club we try to be as fluid as possible and let the wildness of swimrun prevail, but a bit of structure does help us to plan ahead for the traini…, I mean, fun sessions.
More details of every session can be found on our Facebook Group, under events.
Please note, all sessions are due to last-minute changes and could have their distances modified or even be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. We always make sure to assess the conditions, current strength and direction, and wind speed before we start.
You undertake any session at your own risk. Swimrun is not currently covered by a governing body in the UK so you must take responsibility for your own safety and only swimrun in conditions you personally feel comfortable in.

Special editions happen from time to time, usually matching the Ötillö calendar. In 2020 we held the Final 15K on 29th and 30th August with 10 Swimrunners taking part. For our pretend Ötillö Sprint Cannes on 17th and 18th October we had a total of 20 Swimrunners (and of course we had to do it both days).
Spooky Swimrun Halloween – 31/10/2020
Ötillö Sprint Hvar – 07 and 08/11/2020
Ötillö Sprint Malta – 28 and 29/11/2020
